Itinerary 3-Day Desert tour Marrakech to Merzouga

On Day 1 Travel From Marrakech to Ait Ben Haddou , Ouarzazate and Dades Gorges

You will be traveling with Marrocos Tours today, and after picking you up from your lodging in Marrakech, we will journey across the Tizi-n-Tichka pass in the Atlas Mountains (2260m). We will go to Telouet, a classic High Atlas Berber town, and have a guided tour of the Kasbah of El Glaoui, a former War Lord and Pasha of Marrakech. Telouet is located in the middle of the High Atlas Mountains. The next stop is the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou, a picturesque hamlet that has been fortified throughout its history (ksour). We will have lunch in Ouarzazate and then go to Dades Gorges, where we will stay the night in a riad or hotel. I hope you have a wonderful time on your tour of the Sahara desert in Marrakech.

Day 2 : From Dades Gorges to Todra Gorges and Merzouga

As part of our Marrakech Sahara tour, we will leave the Dadès Gorges today and make our way to the Merzouga Sahara desert. There is a possibility that we will come across Berber communities along the way, and we will make a halt in the Todra Gorges. After that, we will make our way to Merzouga by way of Tinjdad, Jorf, and Erfoud. In Erfoud, we will get our first taste of the Tafilalt Saharan Oasis. In the middle of the Sahara, we will travel to the desert on camelback, where we will spend the night in a tent that has been meticulously built for us and listen to drum music. After we have arrived at the camp, we will ascend the high dunes to watch the sunset over the Sahara.

Day 3 : Merzouga desert to Ouarzazate and Marrakech

Our tour of Marrakech and the Sahara continues today as we make our way from the Dadès Gorges to the Merzouga Sahara desert via vehicle. Along the route, there is a possibility of coming across Berber towns; also, we will make a halt at the Todra Gorges. After that, we'll make our way to Merzouga by way of Tinjdad, Jorf, and Erfoud. In Erfoud, we'll get our first glimpse of the Tafilalt Saharan Oasis. In the heart of the Sahara, we will travel to the desert by camel and spend the night in a tent that has been meticulously constructed, complete with drum music. After we have arrived at the camp, we will climb to the top of the highest dunes so that we can watch the sunset across the Sahara.
